The Museums City of Dessau - Rosslau with the unique Bauhaus Museum invited to the EU tender.
The task was to implement a digital application for a "total tourist guidance and information system" for the city of Dessau-Roßlau (conception, design, programming and technical implementation of a mobile application).
Dessau-Roßlau is the third largest city in Saxony-Anhalt. The Bauhaus Dessau, the Masters' Houses, the Arcade Houses and the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz are part of the UNESCO World Heritage and have an international reputation. Renowned art and cultural institutions and museums, such as the Bauhaus Museum Dessau, the Anhaltische Theater Dessau and the Anhaltische Gemäldegalerie and numerous architects and artists working at the Bauhaus were formative for the development of the city.

Dessau-Roßlau has around 2,300,000 guests arriving from day and overnight tourism every year. The share of foreign guests in all overnight stays is approx. 17%.
In order to enable the guests of the city of Dessau-Roßlau a well-thought-out and sensible orientation in the urban space, the city is implementing a “total tourist guidance and information system” (GT-LIS), which should consist of an analog and a digital component. The digital application is intended to supplement and deepen the content of the analog elements.
The "GT-LIS" takes into account the different mobility requirements of the guests and gives the impression of a visitor-friendly, cosmopolitan city where guests are welcome. It meets the needs of national and international guests for orientation and guidance to tourist destinations on the one hand and the desire for information on exciting places in the city's history.
